Alcohol Monitoring
CourtFact is a portable remote breathalyzer designed for court, probation, treatment, and community-supervision programs. It allows a participant complete alcohol tests away from an office while giving the supervising agency tools to verify the alcohol result, the person taking the test, the device, and the circumstances of the test.
WHAT THE COURTFACT RAMP BREATHALYZER DOES
The participant pairs the RAMP device with a smartphone running CourtFact’s Client Mobile app (or a CourtFact Connect phone). The agency can require tests on a fixed schedule, randomly, at any time, or on demand.During testing, the system can provide:- Breath alcohol testing — measures whether alcohol is detected through a breath sample.
- Facial identification — CourtFact says facial-ID video is captured throughout the testing process to help verify that the assigned participant is actually taking the test.
- Device verification — the system identifies the testing device and uses a unique identifying code during the test, helping prevent someone from substituting another device.
- GPS location — a location can be associated with each completed test.
- Scheduled and random testing — agencies can establish different testing protocols instead of relying only on predictable test times.
- On-demand testing — supervising staff can require an additional test when needed.
- Tamper/circumvention protection — the breathalyzer is housed in a secure enclosure intended to prevent unauthorized access and reduce attempts to defeat unsupervised testing.
- Electronic reporting and alerts — results are integrated into CourtFact so staff can review completed, missed, and potentially problematic tests and generate reports.
